George Lopez Las Vegas Concert reviews
Chris Isaak was great, too bad the crowd wasn't
I had the pleasure of experiencing George Lopez's stellar performance for the first time. The crowd, unfortunately, was the most boring I've ever seen. They couldn't be bothered to cheer, stand, dance, or demand an encore. All they managed was polite applause from their seats.
I don't blame Lopez for not doing an encore. Why should he return to perform for an audience that just sits and stares?
The Hollywood Bowl is usually great, but this crowd was different. It seemed full of squares, and I may have been the sole person with a beer in the whole place.
Looking ahead, I can't wait to see George Lopez again in a more lively setting. His show was truly 5-star!
Side note: Chris Botti, who was initially an opener, shouldn't have been part of this event's lineup. He ended up performing a few songs with George Lopez later.
